Louisiana Tech Student Center

This schematic design proposal for the new student center on Louisiana Tech University's campus questions what flexibility and reconfiguration within spaces can look like. The large box structure which makes up the exterior of the building is supported by four large center-supported space frames. Within this envelope the quintessential programs of the student center are suspended in 'pod' shapes from the space frames: the small and large multi-purpose spaces (Gathering), the student recreation spaces (Playing), and the Auditorium (Learning). This suspension of space allows for experience of all sides of these programs and connects the spaces within the building visually.
